Bonnie is a former homeless person turned activist from Toronto, Canada. Born May 26, 1953 in Brampton, Ontario, Bonnie came by her interest in community affairs early. As a child she used to write letters to the Toronto Star about preserving old buildings, against leg-hold traps, and about saving ducks from discarded fishhooks. An Honours graduate of George.Brown.College in 1997, Bonnie uses her speaking and writing skills to try and improve life for the less fortunate. Bonnie also helped start and participates in a Toronto street peoples' theatre group called Cobblestone Theatre. Bonnie publishes a collection of poetry she has written for Cobblestone called, Poems from Street Level.
