Bio by the author: Born 1950 in Centralia, Illinois, USA, Chris Hayden is a contributing edtior to Take Five Magazine,And his poems have appeared In Drumvoices, Break Word With The World, Ever Dancing Muse, Black Thought, Intermission Magazine, Riveting Poetry Supplement, Delmar, and the e-zines Eat Poop, Eccentricity And Kinte-Space. His poem, "The Quiet Zone" appeared in the anthology Aint But A Place, edited by Gerald Early. Now living in St. Louis, Missouri, Chris hits the road sometimes too, "In 1998 I took a greyhound bus from St. Louis to New York City as a poetry pilgrimage. While there I met a slew of live poets and writers from all over, communed with the energy and spirits of New York writers from the past, and read in open mikes and Slams at the Baggot Inn, the Centerfold, the Nuyorican Poet's Cafe, and the St. Mark's Poetry Project."

Chris has also contributed to the ipoet study of poet Vachel Lindsay, with a trenchant analysis of Vachel's 1920's poem, Congo, and also a reprise surprise of his own devising, titled Kongo Groove.
