Hello,
I just read about your site in "Non-profits and Technology" and decided
to see what it was all about. I was especially interested in what the
article has to say about John Lionheart.
A few years back I started to collect poetry and other artwork of
homeless people in hopes of including it in an anthology to benefit
homeless causes. One of my other projects became too time consuming,
and I had to let the poetry project go. It is great to see your site
taking on a similar endeavor.
I was once homeless in San Francisco, and since that time I have been
trying to put a human face on the homeless. I believe that all of the
statistics and political talk dehumanizes those living on the streets.
By displaying their art and publishing their writing, people can see the
homeless as the feeling and caring human beings that they are.
I also felt an affinity with John, as I am a contractor, and I now also
head a non-profit organization.
Keep up the great work!! Let me know if there is any way that I can
help.
Warmly,
Mark A. Hintzke
